Rachel's Blog: Another day, another entry.

So I thought I'd write something because I am not interested in seeing Bert Newton kiss Rove McManus, even if it for a good cause. Also, I figure, the computer is on, and it really doesn't take much effort to say a few words. It has recently come to my attention that there a few more people reading this little webby blog than I previously suspected (de-lurk, damn you!)

Today was the first in a regular series of Abbey being babysat by my mum. Richard and I went and saw Lemony Snickett's Series of Unfortunate Events which is beautiful and fun and Jim Carrey is almost restrained. Make sure you watch the end credits, they''re even more bee-yoo-tiful.

Then we went across the road to our local comic book store and the owner Remembered My Name. This is a significant event in my life as it has never been my habit to frequent stores often enough and chat with the staff long enough to become aquainted. It's neat. (Although our lovely local bottle shop people call me by name too, they cheat and look at my bank card first.) And then we spent so much money he gave us a generous discount. (Sandman #4, Transmetropolitan #3, Fray and Maus - it's a whole-of-life catch-up on quality comics thing.)

Now I've drunk a lovely beer from said bottle shop (Hargreaves Hill Pale - it's delicious if you can get it) and it's time to watch Iron Chef and get tangled up in some sock knitting I think. I'm feeling too lazy to add any links. Oh, come on. You can all use Google, right?
