What else lies in the library's immense [50 kilometres of shelving], partially subterranean expanses has yet to be fully established. Less than a third of its manuscripts have been catalogued, even though the process began just over a hundred years ago.
It is expected to finish about 2350.

For anyone out there who hasn't seen or doesn't own Joss Whedon's awesome short-lived TV series Firefly, it will soon be available on Region 4 DVD.

Years ago I was an avid reader of Inkspot, an online resource for writers, and I was mighty pissed when it was shut down. For some reason its successor, Writers-World, has never been as good? approachable? I'm not sure - mostly too intent on trying to make a buck out of me. Anyway I just discovered Inkygirl, a resource blog compiled by the same dynamo, Debbie Ridpath Ohi.
