I'm now on leave for a week. The week of PyWeek. And I have some cool ideas for games, so I'm really, really looking forward to hacking on a game for a week :)
Going solo this time, so I'm a little worried about the art & sound side of things. I'm going to be needing a lot of custom graphics too. Will be interesting to see how I end up :)
Actually, I also need a break from work :)
And how exactly did you square that with the family? If I stop for even a second I'm knee deep in nappies, a certain tank engine and mashed vegetables.
I spend time with them too:)
This PyWeek isn't a full-time thing - I figure so far I've spent maybe 12 hours on it over three days.
Hmm.. that's dedication, I'm thinking of only taking possibly the last one or two days off. But then again, if this compo goes like all the others I have done, the game I actually submit will be started 10 hours before then deadline, and following in the wake of numerous other re-writes. :)
