To be honest I didn't think to do that given how long the domain has been out of action -- "whowas pythonjournal.com"? :)

Thanks for the tip -- I'll contact Sean and see if he knows who the Python Journal editor was.

Some digging through pythonjournal.cognizor.com and related sites seems to indicate that it was Dr. Sylvia Candelaria de Ram.

It turns out that Sean was the editor originally, and then Sylvia. Thanks everyone for your help :)
